The Western Balkans region is home to some of Europe’s last free-flowing rivers. There is a growing movement of people in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia fighting to protect these unique ecosystems for generations to come. The videos and photographs, commissioned by The Nature Conservancy, tell their stories.
Ciril and his team spent around one month in the field, documenting stories across five countries which later were produced as 9 short films and a collection of 150 stills.
