Grant Cornett is an American artist working across still and moving image. His practice moves through portraits, objects, food, skin, and everyday scenes, guided by instinct and a hands-on engagement with materials and light. Scenes emerge like living collages, grounded in reality but tinged with the unexpected, the uncanny, and the surreal.

With exacting control over photographic mechanics, especially lighting, Cornett amplifies these moments, letting them pulse with intensity and surprise. The resulting images are alive and deliberate, playful and precise, full of small delights that reveal themselves over time.
