Anders Overgaard

Danish-born photographer Anders Overgaard comes from Helsingør, Hamlet’s legendary hometown. His passion for photography began at age 10, capturing the movement and freedom of his skateboarder and windsurfing friends. That love of the outdoors—and the energy it brings—continues to inform the dynamic, cinematic quality of his work today.

After completing his studies at the Copenhagen Graphic Design School, Anders moved to Paris to deepen his understanding of the fashion industry, assisting top photographers including Gilles Bensimon. He later relocated to New York City, where he began building his own visual language and a career rooted in refined storytelling and adventurous imagery.

Anders’ photographs possess a simmering vitality—filled with life, motion, and an unmistakable sense of place. His work blends physicality and elegance with a strong narrative thread, offering a fresh and visceral perspective across advertising, fashion, and celebrity portraiture. Whether on location or in studio, Anders brings curiosity, ease, and an international sensibility to every shoot.

He currently divides his time between New York, London, and Copenhagen, along with his wife and two sons.
