Mariana Velasquez

Food Stylist

Mariana’s food journey spans from the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur California, across the country to Prune in New York City, all the way to the test kitchens of Saveur and Eating Well magazines.

Since then Mariana has worked on hundreds of food styling and food experience projects that have taken her all over the globe.

Her work has been featured in the New York Times, The Financial Times, Vogue, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Wine Spectator, LA Times, Fine Cooking, Rachel Ray Magazine, O Magazine, Cooking Light, InStyle, amongst many others.

She is a published author of Colombiana (Harper Collins 2021) along with three recipe books in Spanish for Latin American clients. Mariana has styled, art directed, developed recipes and collaborated on more than thirty cookbooks throughout her career. She was selected among some of the country’s best to food style American Grown, by First Lady Michelle Obama, a project that took her career into the White House kitchen and garden.

Her advertising client credentials include Williams Sonoma, Breville, Keriug, Starbucks, Nestle, Haagen Dazs, Pointy Snout Caviar, Petrossian, Patron Tequila, Sargento, McDonalds among many others.

She is a passionate admirer of film, is an avid art collector and firmly believes that shaved ice is a mere vehicle for sweetened condensed milk -one of her guilty pleasures.
