Iringó Demeter was invited as one of 200 Visionaries to contribute to the celebration of Louis Vuitton’s birthday. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s signature wooden trunk, she interpreted the design in an abstract way, contemplating how it changed the way people traveled while protecting beloved possessions.
“The image I created for LV200 invites us to reflect about the human body as a vessel which holds the past, the present and the future. It holds who we are and the power we have to hope, do, change, and dream.”
In conjunction with the exhibit, Louis Vuitton launched the Louis Award which aims to enable and encourage the visionaries of the future. The brand will donate €2m on behalf of Iringó and other participating artists. Iringó choose to contribute specifically to The Real Pearl Foundation of Hungary.
Visit the Louis Vuitton 200 exhibition in New York City from October 14th - December 31st, 2022.
