Lucia Bell-Epstein, Textile Exchange x Atmos

We’re excited to share that Lucia Bell-Epstein has been shortlisted for the 2026 Textile Exchange photography competition, in partnership with Atmos.

Lucia spent the last few months documenting the transformation of wool through three stages of textile process: shearing, spinning, and weaving. In collaboration with Melissa Ventosa Martin and Sawyer Gaunt, they drove up, down, and across New York State, tracing wool and a regional network of farmers, mill workers and weavers. Shown here is a sneak peek of their stills and motion footage.
