“Mei’s Kitchen Portrait Series” is a limited-edition zine, all shot on iPhone.

“It started in the kitchen of a client, in Montreal. Where the crew eats. Always the same kitchen, with a certain light that falls onto the wall in that really beautiful and consistent manner. Reminiscent of the light in those old Dutch paintings. It was my client who said you love people, you should take their portrait. The idea of shooting it on an iPhone was to disarm them. Make them think this is no big deal — just be yourself.”
