Tutto Andra Bene – All Will Be Well
“Through the fog, light. I’ve been looking for this picture for years and on this day in October, I finally found not one, but three. I’d been looking for an image to show a way but not necessarily the way; one where the path ahead is not clear and greenery limits one’s vision. It’s a road not well-traveled and it has to be approached with hope, courage, and determination to accept what lies ahead.” – Stefano Azario
This personal project is the result of a solo trip throughout Italy in October 2020, just before a violent second wave of Covid-19 infections struck.
It marks a time of reflection on the effects of the pandemic: a shift in perspectives towards ourselves, family, and wider social circle. Relationships with the State, media, and the environment have additionally been challenged.
Tutto Andra Bene, the title of the project, is the phrase adopted by Italians in the early days of lockdown, to encourage a hopeful acceptance of the inevitable.
