In this new series Tara talks to pre-teens & teenagers about movement and what their favourite sports mean to them.
Can you introduce yourself in a few lines?
I am in year 7, I’m sporty, I like socialising and I like to run about a lot with other people.
When did you start playing football?
I only started playing for a team when I was 10 but I have been training with my dad since I was 3 years old.
What are your favourite things about playing?
I like the fact that I get to socialise with my teammates; it’s fun in general being on a team. It makes me feel energetic. I love sport because I’ve grown up with it.
What do you find most challenging?
I have difficulty handling the fact that some players are rude and ignore other players and don’t pass. The second one is the way some people act towards me when I make a mistake.
Which football player do you find most inspiring and why?
Alessia Russo. All her celebrations are to do with her family. She passes a lot and she’s really good & she treats her fans really nicely.
If you could buy one kit now which one would it be?
The new Arsenal kit because it’s my family team and wearing it makes me feel closer to my team. I like the new colours.
Prediction time… Who do you think is going to win Euro 2024?
It’s not looking good for England but I wish they would win.
France might win because they are rising in the ranks, but I hope it will be England!
