Tara Darby, We Are Grow

In collaboration with We Are Grow and Good Works… Tara is making a film about Grow, an agroecological farm and charity and their unique relationship with secondary school Totteridge Academy next door. The idea for the farm was a spark of inspiration originally ignited by George Lamb. In five years, Grow has transformed six acres of wasteland into an abundant farm and learning space. Tara explores this radical partnership and the ways the farm improves the children’s lives on a daily basis. Instead of using an expensive, unhealthy catering company, Totteridge uses Chefs In Schools and uses freshly harvested vegetables from the farm to make delicious, healthy school meals every day. In the meantime, Tara attended the 5th year anniversary of the farm to capture the days activities and events with the community and volunteers. Her film will be released soon!
