Giving Back: In 2023 we Planted over 50,000 trees

In July 2023, Laird and Good Company joined 1% for the Planet — a transformational global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. 1% for the Planet was launched in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. Since then, members have collectively given over $500 million to vetted environmental organizations.

As an extension of our agency’s pledge, we invited our clients and trusted collaborators, to commit 1% of each job’s total production budget to our 1% for the Planet commitment. This donation has been distributed to our two environmental partners: Just One Tree and Eden Reforestation Projects. Both global organizations were selected as our partners because they work to reverse biodiversity loss through reforestation. Each provides agriculture education, sustainable incomes to local communities, and brings people together to combat climate change.

Through our agency and production clients 2023 contribution, we were able to plant an incredible total of 17,531 trees with Just One Tree and 41,607 trees with Eden Reforestation Projects.

By opening our agency’s pledge to our community, we were able to affect more change through collective action than we ever could alone. We are honored and so grateful to our clients for contributing to this journey.
